● Physical attack in Gdańsk
A 37-year-old Polish man, reportedly intoxicated with more than 1.5‰ alcohol, became aggressive toward an allotment visitor after hearing his eastern accent and tried to attack him. The victim, a Ukrainian citizen, managed to escape. The attacker then approached two other allotment users, a Polish father and son, called them 'Banderists' and attacked them with his fists, breaking the father's arm.
The man was arrested the same day in Gdańsk's Olszynka district. Prosecutors charged him with causing bodily injury, nationality-based insult and driving under the influence; he faces up to 7.5 years in prison.
