●  Discrimination in Warszawa Ursynów

A customer called the Rower Express bicycle and scooter store in Warsaw and, after hearing the employee's Ukrainian accent, said he did not want to buy from 'Ukrainians' and asked to speak with a Polish employee. During the conversation, he explicitly stated that he was 'a xenophobe' and also used the phrase 'anti-Bandera' while referring to 'Polish businesses'.

After the employee informed the caller that the conversation was being recorded and asked him to repeat his statements, the caller changed his explanation. He then claimed only that he wanted to speak with a Polish employee because he found the worker's accent difficult to understand. The employee responded that most Polish customers had no difficulty understanding him and described the caller's behavior as a provocation and as xenophobic.
