●  Insult in Bielsko-Biała

On 21 October 2025, on a municipal bus in Bielsko-Biała, one of the passengers attacked a 12-year-old dark-skinned boy, a Polish citizen. The man insulted the child with racist abuse because of the colour of his skin and spat at him, then got off the bus and walked away. The incident was reported to the police.

Officers searched for the attacker. As the Municipal Police Headquarters in Bielsko-Biała reported, the operational work was helped by "analysis of the recordings from the city monitoring system". Investigators eventually established the identity of the suspect, a 28-year-old resident of the city, and detained him. He was charged with publicly insulting a person because of his racial origin under Article 257 of the Penal Code, which carries up to three years in prison.

In its statement on the incident the police wrote: "We firmly stress that there is and will be no leniency for behaviour motivated by hatred. Perpetrators of such acts cannot count on anonymity."
