●  Physical attack in Gdańsk

A 14-year-old Ukrainian boy was attacked on a playground in Gdańsk on 14 June 2026 after speaking Ukrainian with his friends. According to the family's account, a woman approached him, told him not to speak Ukrainian, and then physically assaulted him. She repeatedly struck his head and ears, kneed him in the head several times, knocked him to the ground, and kicked him in the head.

The assault stopped only after another woman intervened, causing the attacker to flee. The boy was taken to hospital with head injuries, dizziness, headaches, and vomiting. The family's lawyer stated that the attack was motivated by hostility toward the victim's Ukrainian origin and use of the Ukrainian language. Police secured CCTV footage, are searching for the suspect, and have not yet identified or located her.
