●  Physical attack in Wrocław

A 19-year-old Ukrainian man was attacked by a group of around a dozen young people after they heard him speaking Ukrainian on the phone with his parents, at Wyspa Słodowa. According to the victim, one of the attackers first demanded his e-cigarette, then called the rest of the group, who knocked him to the ground and repeatedly punched and kicked him. After the assault, the attackers reportedly laughed that they had "beaten a Ukrainian."

The victim suffered a broken nose, spinal injuries and other injuries that medical examination classified as causing bodily harm lasting more than seven days. Police and paramedics were called by his friends, while the attackers fled before officers arrived. The case is now under police investigation after the victim and his parents formally reported the assault, and the family has appealed for witnesses to come forward.
