Physical attack in Częstochowa

A 35-year-old Ukrainian Bolt taxi driver was physically attacked by a 48-year-old female passenger in Częstochowa after he refused to make an unscheduled stop during the ride. The woman shouted xenophobic insults targeting his Ukrainian nationality, calling him offensive slurs, and then struck him in the head while her young child was sitting on her lap. The incident was recorded by the vehicle's dashcam and spread widely on social media.

Police identified the driver after the video went viral and secured the dashcam footage. On 31 July, the woman voluntarily appeared at a police station, where she was questioned. Prosecutors charged her with an offense related to discrimination based on nationality. The court released her on bail but imposed police supervision and restraining measures, while authorities also referred her family situation to the family court to assess the child's welfare.
