●  Physical attack in Lesznowola

A 63-year-old Polish man was detained after threatening his Ukrainian neighbor with a telescopic baton and repeatedly insulting him because of his nationality. The incident occurred while the Ukrainian man was sitting in his car. The suspect demanded that he open the window, threatened that he 'would no longer be able to listen to music,' and struck the victim's car several times with the baton. According to the victim and witnesses, the man had repeatedly shouted anti-Ukrainian insults at local Ukrainians over recent months.

Video of the incident showed the suspect wearing a T-shirt with the slogan 'Ukrainian genocide of Poles. Volhynia, Eastern Lesser Poland. 1939–1947. We remember.' After the recording spread online, police from Lesznowola and Piaseczno arrested him on suspicion of publicly insulting a person on the grounds of nationality. He was placed in custody and faces up to three years in prison under Polish law. Reports from local residents also alleged that the same man had been intimidating Ukrainians living near a local hostel for years, including making similar threats with the baton.
