●  Physical attack in Zgierz

A Ukrainian couple reported that someone fired at the window of their apartment while they were inside. The projectile damaged the outer layer of the window, and the victim said the sound of the shot and breaking glass triggered memories of explosions experienced during the war in Ukraine. According to the victims, they immediately called the police but waited about two hours for officers to arrive.

The victims stated that about a week before the shooting they had been subjected to anti-Ukrainian insults from a person they believe may be connected to the attack. Commenters urged the case to be investigated as a possible hate crime motivated by hostility toward Ukrainians and criticized the delayed police response. The victims expressed concern that the lack of a strong reaction could encourage more serious violence in the future.
