A Ukrainian woman, Elena Bahinska, reported that after a Polish driver crashed into her car, police did not issue him a fine and instead allegedly tried to make her responsible for the accident. She said officers asked whether the car belonged to her and displayed visible aggression after learning that she was Ukrainian, despite the vehicle having Polish registration. The incident was described by Bahinska as police behaviour with 'xenophobic overtones' toward Ukrainians.
