Insult in Gdynia

Gdynia, Pomorskie Insult

A Ukrainian woman reported that on the evening of 18 July 2026, while speaking Ukrainian with a colleague outside her hotel in Gdynia, a group of Polish men began loudly mocking the Ukrainian and Russian languages. After her colleague left, the men deliberately turned toward her, intensified the verbal abuse, and continued provoking her as she walked to the hotel entrance. She managed to enter the hotel when the receptionist opened the door, avoiding further confrontation.

The woman said she was frightened because she was alone with a group of men and feared the situation could escalate into physical violence. She stressed that neither she nor her colleague had done anything provocative, and explained that recent anti-Ukrainian attacks in Poland, including incidents involving violence, made her afraid to film the perpetrators or wait for police, believing this could make the situation even more dangerous.
