According to the family's account, on the evening of 18 July 2026 a group of six Ukrainian teenagers aged 13–14 were confronted by an adult woman while speaking Ukrainian near the Delfinek swimming pool in Legnica. The woman reportedly told them, 'You are in Poland, speak Polish,' and continued provoking the group despite the teenagers trying to avoid confrontation by apologizing and moving to another inflatable attraction.

The situation escalated when the woman punched one Ukrainian girl in the neck, knocking her to the ground, punched another girl in the face, and then struck a Ukrainian boy who tried to defend the children, breaking his nose. When asked why she had attacked them, the woman replied, 'Because you are from Ukraine.' The family states that the incident was reported to the police and that the victims' injuries were medically documented.
