Border Guard officers stopped a car driven by a Ukrainian national carrying six Afghan nationals without valid documents, allegedly assisting them in an attempt to cross from Poland into Germany.

The driver received a suspended six-month prison sentence, a return order, and a five-year Schengen entry ban before being handed over to Ukrainian authorities. The six Afghan nationals were placed in a detention centre, pending return procedures to their country of origin.
