●  Detention for deportation in Rutka-Tartak

During the weekend of 12-13 June 2026, officers of the Polish Border Guard detained 45 foreign nationals who had crossed the Polish-Lithuanian border illegally outside designated border-control points. The migrants, originating from countries including Somalia, Sudan, Ethiopia, and Afghanistan, did not possess documents allowing entry or residence in Poland. All were returned to Lithuania under readmission procedures.

On 13 June, border guards detained a group of migrants in the Szypliszki and Puńsk areas and arrested a 52-year-old Ukrainian woman accused of organizing the transportation of four migrants inside Poland. Authorities stated that she was involved in facilitating unlawful border crossings, and criminal proceedings against her are ongoing.
