● Detention for deportation
Officers from the Silesian and Carpathian Border Guard Units detained 22 foreigners staying in Poland in violation of their declared purpose of stay or without any documents allowing them to reside legally in the country. Among those detained were citizens of Colombia, Nigeria, Uganda, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Vietnam, Bangladesh, as well as nationals of Tajikistan, Morocco, Russia, and the Philippines.
Three individuals were detained in cooperation with the Police during the “Poszukiwany” (“Wanted”) operation.
Most of the detainees received return decisions, obliging them to leave Poland within 30 days, along with bans on re-entry to the Schengen Area for periods ranging from 1 to 3 years. Proceedings are ongoing for the remaining individuals to issue similar return decisions.
