On 10 July 2026, in a tram in Wrocław, one of the passengers hurled racist abuse at an Egyptian man travelling with his wife and child. The attacker got off at Hallera street.

On 17 July the Municipal Police Headquarters in Wrocław published an image of the man suspected of insult on national grounds and incitement to racial hatred, and appealed for help in identifying him. It turned out that during the attack he was wearing a T-shirt with an eagle and the symbol of Fighting Poland (Polska Walcząca), patriotic symbolism which in recent years has been appropriated by the far right.

On 18 July it was reported that officers from the Wrocław-Krzyki police station had established the man's identity and that "further actions are being carried out in the case".
