● Insult in Płock
On 2 May 2025 in Płock, the Kenyan-born wife of Wisła Płock head coach Mariusz Misiura was racially harassed in the street while she was walking with their two-and-a-half-year-old son, who was riding a small bicycle. A group of two or three boys, aged roughly 10 to 16, rode up on bicycles, cut across the child's path and asked the woman what country she came from.
The boys then rode away and came back with a loudspeaker playing music containing racist slurs in English. They repeatedly blocked the mother and the child's way and shouted insults at the toddler. The woman, alone with her son, asked a passer-by for help, and the boys left after the stranger intervened. There was no physical violence.
The incident became public when Misiura described it at a press conference on 3 May 2025, saying that his wife encounters such situations repeatedly and that he feels helpless to protect his family.
