●  Insult in Gdańsk

On 22 September 2026, a Belarusian woman living in Gdańsk was verbally abused by a shop assistant in a store next to her home, which she visits almost every day. According to her own account on Threads, the saleswoman, who had known her as a customer for about a year, told her: "u was może i tak, u nas inaczej tutaj" ("maybe that's how it is where you come from, here it's different"). When the woman replied that she is Polish, the saleswoman said: "ale to nie znaczy że możesz tu być" ("but that doesn't mean you can be here").

The woman reported the incident to the store management, who assured her that the employee would be spoken to seriously. Another shop assistant told her that this was not the first complaint of this kind about the same employee.
