●  Physical attack in Wrocław

On 20 September 2026 in Wrocław, a foreign woman working as a shop assistant in a Żabka convenience store was beaten by a male customer. According to her own account, the man came into the shop and aggressively demanded that the door be kept open at all times, telling her "This is our Żabka. If you don't open the door yourself, I will open it." She asked him to leave; he hit a display stand, and she took out pepper spray because she feared for her safety. The man then attacked her and beat her. Passers-by entered the shop, the man tried to steal chocolate bars and ran away. Police were called immediately.

When the first patrol arrived, she twice offered to show them the CCTV recording of the attack; the officers declined. She gave a description of the attacker and the patrol drove off. About an hour and a half later the same man returned with friends, again behaved aggressively and tried to force his way into the shop. She called the police again and filmed him on her phone; his friends pulled him away. Security never came, the police called back about 50 minutes later and a second patrol arrived some 20 minutes after that. This time she showed them the recording of the attack and was again told to come to the police station to file a report.

The woman said she had been insulted over her nationality by customers on a daily basis before the attack, and that she quit her job at Żabka the same day because she feared for her life.
