On 18 September 2026 in Warsaw's Wola district, Stanisław N., a 27-year-old Polish citizen originally from Belarus, was attacked after a rent dispute. In early September he had asked his landlady to lower the rent on their flat on Fort Wola street because of noise from the outdoor summer stage of the Progresja music club across the street. On 15 September she ended the lease. According to him, at around 17:30 on 18 September she came to the flat with her partner and another man. They threatened to come back every two days and take the TV, and demanded that the tenants move out. He recorded this conversation on audio.

When he went outside with his girlfriend and their dog, the group met them again near the building. According to him, one of the men headbutted him, punched him in the face and shouted "Spierdalaj na Białoruś" ("Fuck off to Belarus"). He was left with swelling above his right eye, dizziness and ringing in his ears. A CT scan at a hospital the next day confirmed injuries from the attack, according to Gazeta Wyborcza. He also says the water in the flat was cut off the same day.

At first the police refused to accept his complaint and later told him that nothing could be done. He then filed a complaint about the assault with the Warszawa-Wola district prosecutor's office. The landlady's lawyer denies there was a beating or any ethnic or national motive. She says the man only used force to stop the tenant and protect the landlady, who is pregnant.
