●  Insult in Sosnowiec

On 23 August 2026 in Sosnowiec (Śląskie), a Ukrainian woman was walking home from a playground with her small son when they passed a man standing in the street. The boy greeted him politely in Polish, saying "dzień dobry". Instead of returning the greeting, the man answered with the nationalist slogan "Polska dla Polaków" ("Poland for the Poles").

The woman, who lives in Sosnowiec, wrote that this was the first time she had encountered xenophobia from a stranger, and that it happened in front of her child.
