●  Discrimination in Warszawa Śródmieście

On or around 23 August 2026, in central Warsaw (Śródmieście), a Belarusian-Polish man, his wife and two friends visiting from Belarus took shelter from the rain under the awning of the "Bejbi Na Rozdrożu" cafe at aleja Wyzwolenia, next to Łazienki Królewskie park. They had bought takeaway coffee elsewhere, and the man bought an espresso at this cafe. About ten minutes later the owner came up and told them they could not sit there with coffee bought in another place. The man offered to buy bottled water for the rest of the group, but the owner replied that "this is Poland and here you cannot do that", and finally told them: "You know what? No, get out of here! We will not serve you."

The group moved about fifteen metres away and stood under a shelter next to a Żabka shop for another twenty minutes until the rain stopped. As they were leaving, the owner shouted after them "Get out of Poland, you are not welcome here!" ("Wypierdalaj z Polski"). When they came back and the man started filming, the owner complained that he was not speaking Polish (the group spoke Russian among themselves), told them they owed something to Poles, said that "in Poland people do not behave like this", and shouted that the man should be off fighting in Belarus. A passing elderly Polish woman who overheard the shouting told the group to ignore the man.
