●  Physical attack in Warszawa Śródmieście

On 26 September 2026, a Ukrainian citizen was attacked by an unknown man in the Złote Tarasy shopping centre in central Warsaw. According to the victim, the man insulted him for several minutes because of his Ukrainian origin, shouting slurs such as "you Ukrainian d***, get out to Ukraine", threatened to kill him, and then struck him on the back of the head with wired headphones.

The intervention of shopping centre security did not stop the attacker at first; he eventually had to be restrained and handcuffed. Police took him to a police station. The shopping centre management confirmed that CCTV footage has been preserved, and the victim filmed part of the incident on his phone.

The account comes from the victim via his lawyer, Dawid Dehnert, who said he is preparing a notification to law enforcement about a crime motivated by national hatred, physical violence and death threats.
