●  Discrimination in Warszawa

On 28 August 2026, in a public administration office (urząd) in Warsaw, a Ukrainian woman who was waiting in the queue with her infant was pushed back in favour of a Polish man. According to her account, when her turn came, a female clerk stopped her and let through a Polish man who still had a long wait ahead of him. A minute earlier the same clerk had been chatting with that man and complaining that she was "fed up with these Ukrainians".

When the woman asked in Polish why the man had been let in ahead of them, since it was their turn and they were with a baby, the clerk replied: "Never mind, the Ukrainians will wait. The Poles need it more." The woman then asked whether the clerk was dividing the queue by nationality, with Poles first and Ukrainians with a child waiting; she wrote that the clerk's answer was clear.

The incident is known solely from the account published on Threads by the woman herself, who has lived in Poland for four years.
