● Insult in Wąchock
On or around 26 August 2026, in the municipality of Wąchock (Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship), an unknown person painted the word "UPA" on a parked car, damaging the vehicle's paintwork. "UPA" stands for the Ukrainian Insurgent Army and is commonly used in Poland as an anti-Ukrainian slur.
The car belongs to a 44-year-old Ukrainian citizen who lives in Starachowice. Police received a report of the incident on 26 August 2026, and the owner filed a formal statement the following day. The details were confirmed by police spokesman Paweł Kusiak.
