On 7 April 2026 in Raciąż two men attacked a 16-year-old boy from Ukraine. As the police statement of the District Police Headquarters in Płońsk described it: "The findings show that near one of the grocery shops the boy was accosted by two men who wanted him to buy them alcohol. When he refused, explaining that he was a minor and had no money, the situation ended for a while. A few moments later, near another shop, the same men ran up to the teenager. One of them then hit him in the face, and then they directed insults at him referring to his nationality."

The attackers also took the boy's house keys and demanded money for returning them. They then left the scene, and the injured boy called the police.

Officers detained the two men in one of the parks in the town: a 19-year-old from the Drobin municipality and a 22-year-old from the Raciąż municipality; both admitted their guilt. They were charged with insulting the boy on national grounds, and the older attacker additionally with violating his bodily integrity and with extortion connected with the stolen keys.
