●  Detention for deportation in Toruń

On April 4, police in Toruń detained a 25-year-old Zimbabwean man who was walking naked across the Józef Piłsudski Bridge. He was heavily intoxicated but non-aggressive. Officers subsequently discovered that he had no valid residence permit in Poland, and he was first taken to a psychiatric hospital before being handed over to the Border Guard.

The man had originally entered Poland in April 2024 on a national visa and passport for the purpose of university studies. Following the incident, Polish authorities formally requested his deportation, a process which has since been initiated. The Nadwiślański Border Guard unit confirmed receiving the deportation request.
