On or around 13 September 2026 in Poland, a Polish man confronted a Ukrainian man outside a Dino supermarket. In video published by the Ukrainian, the man says "Polak jestem" ("I am a Pole"), calls Ukrainians "Banderowcy" (a slur derived from the name of Ukrainian nationalist Stepan Bandera) and taunts him with "don't you have a war over there?", while the Ukrainian repeatedly asks what he has against Ukrainians.

The man then walked up to the Ukrainian's parked BMW, tore off the car's registration plate and threw it away. The victim, who runs an advice account for Ukrainians in Poland, said he filed a report with the Polish police the same day and handed over the footage.
