● Physical attack in Kraków
On Sunday, 25 October 2026, at around 16:00–16:30, a group of teenagers approached a 12-year-old Ukrainian boy at a pedestrian crossing near the Serenada shopping centre, next to McDonald's on Bora-Komorowskiego Street in Kraków. They asked him where he was from, and when he answered that he was from Ukraine, they sprayed pepper spray directly into his face and mouth.
The boy spent the rest of the day with his parents at a hospital emergency department (SOR), suffering severe pain, redness and irritation of the skin and mucous membranes; a forensic medical examination (obdukcja) was carried out. Green traces of the substance remained on his clothes and skin.
The account comes from the boy's mother, who wrote on Facebook that she planned to file a report with Police Station VII in Kraków, noting that the site is covered by surveillance cameras, and was seeking a lawyer experienced in hate crimes based on nationality. Ukrainian media reported the incident based on her post.
