●  Physical attack in Warszawa Targówek

On the afternoon of August 3, 2026, around 16:00, three teenage boys, believed to be about 16 years old, followed a 14-year-old Ukrainian boy near a shopping center in Warsaw's Targówek district and shouted insults about his nationality before spraying a caustic substance onto his face and ear. According to the boy's mother, he had said nothing to the attackers and was simply sitting on a bench using his phone.

The boy began screaming and asking for help as the substance burned him; passersby called an ambulance and contacted his parents. He was hospitalized with burns to his face and ear and was told he would need further medical treatment. His mother said the burning sensation lasted about 10 hours, which made her doubt it was ordinary pepper spray.

Police confirmed the incident and were present at the scene; the mother filed an official report, and as of the time of reporting the attackers had not been identified.
