●  Physical attack in Warszawa

On the evening of 18 August 2026 in Warsaw, a Ukrainian family who had driven to a shop for groceries were attacked in the car park by two drunk Polish men. The couple had repeatedly asked the men to move away from their car, because their three-year-old daughter was asleep inside, but the men refused. When the family got into the car and tried to drive to another shop, the men aggressively blocked their way, shouted at them to "get the fuck out of here, Ukrainians", tore at the door handles and hit the car while trying to get inside. One of them struck the side mirror and knocked it off.

The woman's husband used pepper spray against the two men, who then ran around the nearby park; the little girl woke up crying. The woman called the police, and while officers were on their way one of the attackers climbed over a fence and fell onto another parked car. A Polish local who had watched the scene from his window with his children drove up to the family and offered to help catch the man, as the car damaged in the fall belonged to his father-in-law. The family said they filed a police report over the attack.
