● Insult in Warszawa Włochy
A Ukrainian family travelling from Warsaw to Halifax via Zurich, on LOT Polish Airlines and Edelweiss Air flights, found their checked suitcase deliberately vandalised after it had been handed over at Warsaw airport. In a video recorded by the family when they opened the bag at their destination, T-shirts bearing the Ukrainian trident, a blue-and-yellow heart and the slogan "Heroiam slava" ("Glory to the Heroes") are shown cut apart with a sharp object, and other clothing is smeared with foundation make-up.
The woman filming says the family had nothing sharp in the luggage and that the cuts were made after the suitcase was checked in in Warsaw. According to the family, valuables were also taken from the bag and a book was torn. The damage was concentrated on the items carrying Ukrainian national symbols and patriotic slogans.
