●  Physical attack in Warszawa

On the evening of 15 August 2026, at around 22:00, a Belarusian man named Siarhei and his wife were attacked in Warsaw while walking their dog near their home. According to Siarhei, he asked another couple two or three times to put their two small dogs on a leash so the animals would not fight. Instead of complying, the man from the other couple began shouting at them "Wyp...laj na Ukrainę" ("Get lost to Ukraine"). When the Belarusians said they were from Belarus, he switched to repeatedly shouting "Wyp...laj do domu" ("Go home").

The man then advanced on Siarhei saying "Co? Co?" ("What? What?"). Siarhei started filming on his phone. The attacker's girlfriend briefly pulled him away, but he returned and began shoving, knocking down both Siarhei and his wife. A second man joined in, backing the attacker, and a third man ran up and sprayed gas. The gas hit Siarhei, his wife, their dog and a random female passer-by who had witnessed the incident and who is also Belarusian. The attackers then fled.

Siarhei called the police; municipal guards arrived after about seven minutes and police about ten minutes later. The couple were invited to the police station the next day and filed a statement. Siarhei, who has lived in Poland with a residence card since late 2018, said this was the first time this had happened to him and that in his impression attacks on foreigners have become more frequent over the previous six months.
