●  Physical attack in Radom

On the evening of May 8th, in Radom, four men aged 30-40 approached a 20-year-old Ukrainian and asked for a cigarette. Upon hearing his Polish accent, they demanded he sing a Polish song. When he refused, they hurled nationalist insults at him, then physically attacked him, beating him — including blows to the head — and attempting to rob him of his jacket and phone. They fled when bystanders appeared. The victim noted that one attacker wore a shirt with patriotic symbols.

One suspect, a 38-year-old Polish man, has been detained and charged with assault, attempted robbery, and a hate crime. He confessed and stated that the group had each consumed half a liter of vodka before the attack. The court denied the prosecution's request for pre-trial detention, instead imposing police supervision. Two other suspects have been identified and are being sought, while a fourth remains unknown. The perpetrators face up to 15 years in prison.
