Two men attacked a kebab shop run by a Bangladeshi citizen, smashing windows and threatening to kill him with a machete. The owner, Anwar Jahid, said: “I couldn’t sleep all night. I have a wife and child.” Police later arrested the suspects. Authorities deny a racial motive, but the incident follows rising anti-migrant sentiment and a proposed local referendum on “illegal immigration.”
