Border Guard officers at Warsaw Chopin Airport detained a 34-year-old Iranian woman arriving from Athens for using falsified Bulgarian identity documents. Both the passport she presented and an ID card found in her hand luggage were confirmed to be counterfeit.

She was charged under the Polish Criminal Code for using forged documents. Administrative return proceedings were also initiated, but she applied for international protection in Poland. A court ordered her placement in a guarded center for foreigners for 60 days.
