A 20-year-old Ukrainian man experiencing homelessness was brutally attacked at Pasaż Wiecha in central Warsaw. The assault was captured on surveillance footage, which showed a man approaching the victim and striking him repeatedly. After the attack, the victim lost consciousness and fell behind a bench. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition with head injuries that posed a serious threat to his life.

Police arrested a 48-year-old Polish suspect within hours of the incident in Świętokrzyski Park. Investigators determined that a verbal dispute over behavioral conduct had occurred between the two men several days prior. The suspect allegedly decided to "dispense justice" after spotting the victim sitting on a bench days later. Many witnesses were present at the scene but none intervened or called emergency services.
