Police, Border Guard and tax authorities carried out a large-scale operation at Warsaw's Bakalarska Market in the Włochy district and the Różycki Bazaar, sealing off the markets, checking everyone inside, searching market stalls with police dogs, and verifying the identities of more than 400 people. The operation specifically targeted undocumented migrants alongside wanted suspects.

Eighteen people were detained, including 15 foreign nationals and three Polish citizens. Five foreigners were handed over to the Border Guard with requests to initiate deportation proceedings, while three foreign nationals were found in the Schengen Information System (SIS). Authorities justified the operation by stressing checks on foreigners' legal residence, reflecting a broader pattern of immigration-focused enforcement at marketplaces where many traders are migrants.
