A man got into a taxi in Poland and, from the very start, insisted he was the passenger who had booked the ride, calling himself "Pan Tomasz." The driver, a Ukrainian woman, noticed the address in her app did not match his claim. When she questioned this, the man began shouting at her using an ethnic slur, calling her a "Ukrainian szmata" (a derogatory Polish term, roughly "Ukrainian rag/scum") and demanding, with vulgar profanity, why she was "still in Poland". He also pressured her to just drive, claiming he was in a rush because his wife was giving birth and he needed to reach the hospital.

According to the account of the driver, who published the video, before leaving the car the man took a personal item that belonged to her - a pillow that had great sentimental value, as it had been a gift from someone close to her.
