●  Insult in Warszawa

A photograph taken inside a taxi in Warsaw shows a xenophobic notice aimed at Ukrainian-speaking passengers. A sheet of paper was hung on the back of the front seat, facing the rear seats, with a message in Ukrainian telling passengers that they can speak Ukrainian on foot - in other words, that anyone using the Ukrainian language will not be driven and can walk instead. Below the text there is a Ukrainian flag crossed out with a large red X.

The notice was put up by the driver inside his own car, so that every Ukrainian passenger getting in would be met with the message that their language is not welcome and with their national flag struck through. The photograph was published on 8 August 2026 by a Ukrainian passenger and was afterwards picked up by Ukrainian media.
