●  Physical attack in Wrocław

A trial has begun in Wrocław against Małgorzata C. and her partner Dawid Ł., who are accused of attacking 17-year-old Aliona K., a Ukrainian cashier working at a Żabka store on Pereca Square. The incident occurred in October 2025 after the customer was told there was no change and was asked to provide smaller coins. Małgorzata C. punched and slapped the teenager, pulled her hair, and kicked her while her partner prevented others from helping. Małgorzata C. also shouted an insult calling her a “fucking Ukrainian” and threatening to kill her.

Investigators believe the attack was motivated by the victim’s nationality. While Małgorzata C. admitted to the assault, she denies a nationalist motive and claims she was intoxicated and angry after being refused a hot dog. Dawid Ł. says he only tried to separate the fight, although security footage reportedly shows him restraining another employee and knocking the victim down.
