● Physical attack in Olsztyn
In Olsztyn, a 14-year-old Ukrainian boy was violently attacked by a group of adult men after a minor dispute in a park. The incident began when the victim's 12-year-old brother approached a group of Polish girls, which led to an argument and one of the girls striking the older brother in the face. The girls then called adult acquaintances, men aged roughly 20–30, who arrived and beat the teenager while hurling ethnic slurs and threatening to kill him.
The attackers forced the boy to kneel and kiss one of the girls' sneakers, and warned him that reporting the attack to police would cost him his life. He was hospitalized for two days. Polish police have since opened an investigation, with witnesses and video footage secured. The Ukrainian Consulate General in Gdańsk has taken the case under its supervision and is pressing for a thorough investigation and punishment of those responsible.
