●  Insult in Warszawa Praga-Południe

On 2 September 2022 on Rozłucka street in Warsaw's Praga-Południe district, aggressive men and a woman accompanying them attacked a group of teenagers from Ukraine with vulgar, xenophobic abuse. They refused to let them use the sports pitch on which the Ukrainians regularly played football with Poles and Belarusians. The attackers shouted: "This is a Polish bench! Get the f... out of here! There are no Ukrainian ones!", "Where is your Ukraine? Somewhere in Kyiv, f... off there!", "You are in Poland, you are to do what we, f..., want, not the other way round" and "F... off out of Poland!".

The woman directed threats at the young Ukrainians, asking whether they "wanted their mugs smashed". When one of the teenagers was pushed by one of the Poles, her aggression grew further: "When I f... you up, you will know why I am hitting! Get lost!".

The police were notified and the attackers were detained. The prosecutor's office charged one of the men and the woman with making unlawful threats against a group of people because of their national origin. A third man, who reported himself to the police, was charged with discrimination under Article 119 of the Penal Code, which covers the use of violence or unlawful threats because of national, ethnic or racial origin.
