●  Insult in Warszawa

On 20 December 2025 the Przegląd Sportowy Onet portal published an article about the peer violence experienced by the 15-year-old daughter of Jurij Gladyr, a volleyball player of the Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie club who comes from Ukraine and holds Polish citizenship. The girl, a pupil of a private secondary school in Warsaw, was intimidated and insulted and received a series of vulgar voice recordings on her phone, including messages that referred to her origin. In the voice messages pupils said to her, among other things: "I will not record for you in Ukrainian, because we don't f...ing know how", "F... us, f... Ukrainians".

Her mother reported to the school authorities that her daughter was being subjected to psychological violence. The school did not react adequately to the situation, and the parents received a letter informing them that their daughter had been struck off the list of pupils.

After the case was publicised, the Warsaw Metropolitan Police Headquarters, the Ministry of National Education, the Regional Education Authority and the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs became involved. According to research by the Institute for Media Monitoring, between 20 December 2025 and 10 January 2026 as many as 3,857 posts about this case appeared on social media, 63 per cent of them negative in tone. Tomasz Lubieniecki of the IMM summed up: "We are observing a phenomenon in which the tragedy of an individual is used to create anti-Ukrainian narratives. Statements by politicians [...] become in the hands of internet radicals a tool for further attacks on the hated schoolgirl."
