●  Physical attack in Pisarzowice

On 20 November 2023, in a school in Pisarzowice in the Bielsko county, three 13-year-old pupils beat an 11-year-old schoolmate from Ukraine. The attack took place on the school grounds after additional afternoon activities organised by the local sports club LKS Pionier.

The boy was taken to hospital. His parents said he had suffered a concussion and broken ribs; the police stated that he had not sustained serious injuries and was discharged home after examinations. Senior aspirant Ilona Michalczyk of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Bielsko-Biała said that the three juvenile perpetrators would answer before the family court for violating the bodily integrity of the 11-year-old Ukrainian pupil.

The school management announced remedial measures: meetings with a psychologist on peer violence for classes V–VIII and joint work of the psychologist with the teaching staff to minimise the effects of the incident.
