●  Insult in Kłodzko

On the night of 2-3 September 2026, in Kłodzko (Dolnośląskie voivodeship), an unknown perpetrator sprayed the letters "UPA" on the entrance door of a catering venue on Łukasińskiego street that is run by Ukrainian citizens. The same person sprayed a large amount of wild boar repellent around the premises, leaving a strong lingering smell in and around the venue.

"UPA" stands for the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, a Second World War nationalist formation, and the abbreviation is used in Poland as an anti-Ukrainian insult. Police were notified and are looking for the perpetrator; residents with information were asked to contact the police or the town authorities. The local outlet 24klodzko.pl reported that incidents on ethnic grounds had not previously occurred in the town.
