●  Physical attack in Warszawa Śródmieście

On the weekend of 5-6 September 2026, at around 8 p.m., a woman was sitting on a bench on one of the streets near Nowy Świat in central Warsaw, talking to her mother on the phone in Russian. A man came up to her and knocked the phone out of her hands while addressing xenophobic words at her. As she was picking the phone up from the ground, he tried to hit her; she turned away and ran off before he could.

The woman has lived in Poland for five years. She wrote that many people were nearby and nobody reacted or intervened. The case rests on her own published account.
