● Discrimination in Warszawa
The Ukrainian Gremi Borsch Fest was cancelled in Warsaw after its organizers reportedly spent six months unsuccessfully seeking a venue. Both private venue owners and the city authorities refused to provide a location, making it impossible to hold the Ukrainian cultural festival in Warsaw this year. The incident has been described by commentators as potentially xenophobic because of the repeated refusals specifically affecting a Ukrainian cultural event. Gremi Borsch Fest had previously been held in Warsaw and attracted 24,200 visitors.
